In honor of almost reaching 100 followers on Twitter in just the first few months, Gamer’s Almanac is hosting a celebratory giveaway! We will be giving away three games that we’ve reviewed to the lucky winners.
Ruin of the Reckless, Cublast HD, and Tiles will all be available as prizes. A first, second, and third place winner will be picked at random from the entrants, and they will each get one prize with first place picking first, etc. For more information about these games, check out the prizes section.
Winners will be announced once Gamer’s Almanac reaches 100 followers on twitter; if that happens before 5/13, then we’ll hold off the announcement until then so more people can have a chance to enter.

Ruin of the Reckless
Ruin of the Reckless is a rogue-like brawler for PC. In it, your hero must climb a tower filled with fast-moving demons to try and reach the top and have their wish granted. It’s fast paced and not for the faint of heart, but we at GA love how it always keeps you on your toes. With chaos cards you can change up the gameplay and starting equipment to customize your journey and make things more or less challenging. It has local co-op and multiple endings, so it’s sure to have a high replay value even after you make it to the top!
Ruin of the Reckless is developed by Faux-Operative games. It is available on PC for $14.99. For more information about Ruin of the Reckless, visit Faux-Operative’s official website. To hear more about the game from the developer’s perspective, check out our interview with Charles Webb. Cublast HD is a minimalist reflex puzzler that tests your skill while still staying casual. You move a ball across the map by tilting the world, and from there you jump around various types of blocks to solve the puzzle of collecting blastpoints and making it to the end. Cublast HD features solo, versus, and co-op modes, and an online community with fresh user-made levels that you can take a crack at. If you’re the creative type, you can even make your own levels! It’s a surefire hit for fans of platformer puzzles.
Cublast HD is developed by Thinkfast Studio. It is available on Xbox and PC for $9.99. For more information, visit the game’s official website.
Tiles also takes on the challenge of satisfying puzzle fans, and it features fast-paced gameplay that makes it an addictive challenge. The player is tasked with clearing the board of all tiles, but also moving fast enough so they don’t disappear beneath you. It features 90 levels, plus more counting those made by the community (and maybe you!) and two modes, single-player and a versus race. Different tile-types spice up the gameplay and keep things fresh, and a simple design helps the player feel like they’re moving quickly through the game’s levels.
Tiles is developed by Romans I XVI Gaming. It is available on PC, Mac, and Linux for $3.99. For more information, visit the game’s official website.
